Jamie Finn Joins Sei Development Foundation as Strategic Advisor to Advance Tokenized Asset Vision
On May 20, 2025, the Sei Development Foundation announced the appointment of Jamie Finn, co-founder of Securitize, as a strategic advisor. The move underscores Sei’s ambition to position itself as a leading blockchain for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) and institutional use cases.
Finn brings deep expertise in fintech, asset tokenization, and blockchain infrastructure. His advisory role will focus on accelerating Sei’s growth, particularly in the tokenization of RWAs, while also supporting broader ecosystem development.
“Jamie’s background uniquely positions him to help Sei unlock mainstream adoption in real-world finance,” said Justin Barlow, executive director of the Sei Development Foundation. “He understands both the technical and regulatory dimensions of tokenizing assets at scale.”
Advisory Focus: Growth, Compliance, and Infrastructure
Finn’s collaboration with Sei will center around scaling compliant and efficient RWA platforms on the network. He will also advise on partnership strategies, helping Sei engage with institutional players and fintech firms exploring on-chain solutions.
“Sei’s performance-first architecture makes it ideal for compliant and scalable RWA strategies,” said Finn. “I’m excited to help build the infrastructure that bridges traditional capital markets with next-gen blockchain systems.”
Sei Giga Launch Adds Fuel to RWA Ambitions
Finn’s appointment coincides with another milestone: the release of the Sei Giga whitepaper on May 19. This update introduces the industry’s first multi-proposer Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) Layer 1, designed to boost Sei’s transaction throughput by over 50x.
Launched in 2023, Sei’s mainnet has processed billions of dollars in transaction volume, gaining traction with developers building high-performance apps.
While Sei’s native token SEI traded slightly lower at press time (-0.3% on the day, -16% over the week), the Foundation remains focused on long-term ecosystem expansion driven by strategic hires and product evolution.
